Hotel du Haut Marais

I have stayed in many hotels, but had never seen anything like it. A room in an incredible state of disrepair. A bathroom where filth sits next to a broken shower column, a broken lampshade, and the light bulb is missing one. The decor? What decor? Even the 70s decor at my parents' place is prettier. But the most absurd thing is that after 9:15 AM, there is no more breakfast and no one except the person doing the "cleaning" is there to answer the pseudo-needs of a potential guest. In short, avoid at all costs!

the only good thing is that it is outside the city and has a closed parking lot. the room is absolutely in need of renovation and the shower needs cleaning. the cubicle for the toilet is claustrophobic. paid too much for what it is.

This establishment has remained "as it was," staying there is like rediscovering the decor of hotel rooms from a few decades ago. After all, the little vintage touch can be appealing, why not? But a little makeover and a good refresh would still be welcome (paint on the bed frames a bit chipped, linoleum on the floor peeling in places, green space overgrown...). That being said, the rooms are certainly old-fashioned but clean, and the bedding is very comfortable. The establishment also has secure parking, which is a plus. The breakfasts are brief but decent. In short, for a short stay, it's fine.
