We stayed two nights at this hotel for a concert at the Stade de France. The location was the main criterion for our choice, and in this regard, the hotel fulfills its role perfectly.
The check-in went well despite the crowd upon our arrival. The staff remained pleasant and professional. The hotel is modern and has a convenient location: a bus stop is less than a five-minute walk away and allows easy access to the Stade de France in about twenty minutes. Access to Paris is also very simple, with less than thirty minutes of transport to reach the main tourist sites.
We had booked a triple room. Unfortunately, this is where we were a bit disappointed. The room was quite small, to the point that it was sometimes difficult to move around comfortably. The two single beds were pushed together, and a third bed was located above. The latter was not prepared upon our arrival: we had to set up the bedding ourselves. Moreover, a fitted sheet was missing, and only a plastic cover was on the mattress, which was not very pleasant. In fact, it tore on the very first night.
The main bedding was, however, comfortable, and we slept well. The hotel is relatively quiet despite its urban location.
Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The selection was satisfactory, and everything we tasted was good. We enjoyed breakfast both mornings.
The day after our first night, the cleaning was done in the room. However, once again, the bed above was not made, unlike the other beds. This gives the impression that this third bed is a bit neglected in the daily maintenance.
After our return from the concert, we also noticed that there was not enough shower gel for three people. We had to go to the reception and wait about fifteen minutes before a refill was brought to us.
Regarding the view, it was nothing special, which is not necessarily a problem in the city. However, a piece of clothing that had clearly been abandoned for some time on a structure located just below our window gave an impression of neglect as soon as the curtains were opened.
We were already familiar with the neighboring establishment, the Greet Hotel, located in the same building and sharing the same staff. During our previous stays, we had benefited from more spacious rooms, better furnished, and sometimes even cheaper. This comparison likely heightened our disappointment regarding the room at Ibis Budget.
In summary, this hotel remains a very practical option for attending an event at the Stade de France or visiting Paris at a lower cost. The location, the welcome, and the breakfast are real strengths. On the other hand, the size of the triple rooms, the preparation of the third bed, and some maintenance details could be improved.
Advice for travelers: ideal for concerts at the Stade de France due to nearby transportation, but the triple rooms can be quite cramped.
