Hotel De La Paix

AVOID. Rude owner, shabby and dirty rooms. Had better facilities at Glastonbury. Lumpy bed, dodgy electrics, Signs saying owners don't speak English - he knows the word "tax" though! And the town is a dump too.

Hotel can serve as an emergency solution if there is nothing left free in the area but it also stops there. Restaurant is no longer available and you can barely sit in the bar. Breakfast is embarrassing! Coffee that you either look through or is way too strong. Take everything out of the fridge with ice cold (hard boiled) eggs as a topper, a little choice of toppings. The fruit on offer looks bad, the croissants can still get through. Bathroom quite small with a toilet that half the hotel wakes up when used, quality of the bed can still be somewhat through. Conversing with the operator is also out of the question. In terms of location perhaps ideal to explore the area around WW I, but rest assured, search a little, there is much better to find.

Not a good hotel. Dated. Manager doesn't speak English. Special in 2025. Poor bathroom. No air conditioning. Needed in the summer. Restaurant opposite hotel rather noisy. So windows have to be closed. Is nice in center. Free parking. But there are better hotels in Albert in terms of price/performance. Choose a room at the back.
