Best Western Aida Marais

We spent three nights at the "Aida" hotel, located on a quiet street. The room is a bit small and angular, but equipped with air conditioning and clean. Very pleasing for a three-star hotel: there is body lotion! The breakfast is okay. The ladies and gentlemen at the front desk were very friendly and helpful (tips for dinner).

Mixed experience here, booked a superior double via Booking.com. Arrived to find we were in room 11 which is more like a cupboard, the roof was sloping and the bathroom so small I had to sit on the loo sideways! I complained to reception and the guy told me “ all the rooms are superior “. He did however try to move us but the rooms were all fully booked. He arranged to move us the next day but we had to pack all our things and put them in left luggage. The second room was 301 and was a much bigger room with a great bed and bathroom which I couldn’t fault. We found it very handy for both Gare du Nord and Gare Lyon. Also easy to reach the top sights.

They have broken furniture that you are charged for if you do not notice it upon entering the room and reporting it. Staff entering the rooms after check-in by the guests (with clothes, luggage, documentation, money, etc.)
