Best Western Montcalm

A wonderful small and clean hotel, right at the metro station. The staff is very friendly, the reception is staffed around the clock and everyone is very helpful, they all speak English. On the day of departure, you can leave your suitcases at the hotel free of charge until the evening if you would like to spend more time in the city. My daughter and I, as two women, felt very safe in this hotel and the surrounding area. In the immediate vicinity is a supermarket, bakery, restaurants, pharmacy, post office.... We received a room on the upper floor as we requested when booking. The view of the street from the small, ornate "balcony" was our highlight every morning - typical Paris. The window is low and can be opened completely. On the soft stool in front of the windowsill, you had the feeling of sitting on a balcony. Rooms facing the street get direct sun in the morning, but the curtains are very good for darkening the room. In the evening, it wasn't loud with the window closed, we were able to sleep peacefully. In the room, you have everything necessary to spend a carefree week. Electric kettle, mugs, wooden spoon, coffee, and tea for the first few days. The bathroom is freshly renovated, with a large walk-in shower / rain shower. Shampoo, soap, hair dryer, fresh towels, toilet paper, facial tissues... The bed was very comfortable, a real closet with shelving and enough hangers, a table and chair, a stool in front of the window... A large TV is also available, but we didn't use it. The room is small, but sufficient for 2 people. The air conditioning is set very comfortably. The elevator is small, but fast and was always free when we were there. However, you are also welcome to use the stairs; the walls there are all beautifully decorated with pictures and photos of famous people. The cleaning staff are super friendly, but we didn't make use of any cleaning during our 4-night stay; we didn't make anything dirty, after all. We just put our trash bags and used towels out in the hallway in the morning and got fresh ones in return. We didn't book breakfast because we liked having breakfast outside or having our own groceries in the room.. In general, we felt very private and undisturbed in this hotel, almost like at home :-) Thank you very much! We would love to come back! :-)

everything was clean and tidy the receptionists were kind, helpful and sweet and we really enjoyed our stay
