Hotel des 3 nations

The 5th floor room I was given had a bed full of bed bugs, and it had hair in the toilet. I was given a room on the 1st floor and discovered at 5am that it also had bed bugs. You can also hear other guests snoring through the walls. Stay somewhere else.

We are inter-railing and we needed a place to stay for an extra night in Paris, as the train we reserved wasn’t for another night. We chose this hotel as it was cheap and looked clean! The room was clean but old fashioned and had no air-con, so was pretty unbearable. We had to have to doors to the balcony open all night which meant it was very noisy. The other guests in the hotel were inconsiderate and the walls are incredibly thin. They were up shouting until gone 2am, and we needed to be up by 7. The bathroom is small but functional. I would honestly next time pay extra and go somewhere else to ensure a good nights rest. However it is close to the gare de l’est and the hotel were great about keeping the bags for us until we were due to depart.

I stayed at this hotel when I was at Interrail during the easter 2018. The hotel was chosen based on price and distance to the train station. The hotel has a simple standard and is not exactly in the most exciting area, but if you can live with it, this is a OK hotel to stay at.
