The hotel is great- spacious rooms, trendy, quiet, great service. We spent 5 nights a family of 7. The location is awesome. Highly recommended.

Hôtel Baume: avoid at all costs! A catastrophic experience for a 4-star hotel. It is by far one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in Europe. We arrived late on a Tuesday evening, after having booked a standard room long in advance. To our great surprise, the front desk staff informed us that there were no more standard rooms available and that only one room remained, located on the ground floor, facing the courtyard, presented as a room adapted for people with reduced mobility. The staff then explained to us that this room would be "larger" and that it would be a "courtesy gesture" on the part of the hotel. We insisted, however, on getting the room we had booked. Instead of looking for a solution professionally, the front desk staff adopted a very unpleasant and aggressive attitude, repeating that the hotel was full and that there was no other possibility. We finally agreed to see this room out of necessity. What a disappointment: upon entering, we noticed numerous hygiene problems: flies in the room, hair on the bed, an unpleasant odor, and a very cold temperature. A room unworthy of the standard expected of an establishment advertised as a 4-star hotel. Faced with this situation, we requested the cancellation of our reservation. After a long, tense discussion, the staff suddenly informed us that there might finally be a "solution" and that a call needed to be made. Fifteen minutes later, as if by a miracle, a standard room on the second floor became available — exactly the type of room we had booked, but which had supposedly been "reserved" for guests arriving the next day. This situation raises serious questions: why force an unsuitable room on us for over an hour when a room matching our reservation actually existed? We felt as though we had been pushed to accept a room that other guests would also be forced to accept. Unfortunately, the new room was not up to par either: there was hair under the duvet and the electric kettle was dirty. Between the lack of transparency, the staff's attitude, the absence of a sense of service, and the hygiene issues, this experience was extremely disappointing. For a 4-star hotel presented as an "oasis" in the heart of Paris, the level of service is very far from expectations. I strongly advise against this establishment. Hotel Baume: Absolutely Avoid! The location of Hotel Baume was ideal. It was within easy walking distance of several delightful restaurants and Luxembourg Gardens and other attractions. The atmosphere and ambiance of the hotel was elegant. The rooms were adequate and comfortable. Having been there during the heatwave, the AC was very adequate. The staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was delicious and a good start to the day.
