PRATIC HOTEL

Lovely. Best location in all of Paris. It is walking distance to everything. The owners continually renovate to optimize the space but everyone needs to understand that this is a 300 year old building so you get top location and exceptional charm for the small price of small rooms and no elevator. I would never decline staying here for a less central place with bigger rooms.

I would not recommend this hotel at any cost! I’ve stayed in many hotels in Paris and, indeed, around the world. This is the worst I’ve ever stayed in. The room I was given literally reeked of mildew from the tiny combined toilet/shower unit in the room. A staff member on the front desk that evening agreed with the bad smell and said he would find me a different room for the next night (the only decent person on desk staff apparently). When I returned to the hotel the next afternoo, they said they had no other rooms available. That’s understandable but when I asked to cancel my booking and be refunded what I had prepaid, they refused. I explained that I could not stay in the room because I am highly allergic to mildew and already my breathing had been affected the first night. They still refused and then gaslighted me about the smell. I called Hotelsone.com through which I had made the booking and they were completely useless saying it was up to the hotel if they wanted to refund me even if it was a matter of health and safety. Since I could not stay in the room because of the mildew I was forced to find last minute alternate accommodation (very expensive) for which I had to pay out of pocket again. It is clear that the management of this hotel care more about money than customers and they offer sub-standard unhealthy accommodation at an exorbitant price. They were not only rude but tried to gaslight me and therefore are also dishonest. Stay away from this hotel! I also do not recommend booking through hotelsone.com which appeared to be a scam site to which I was redirected after I tried booking at another hotel. Watch out for this scam my operation!

Hotel ** very clean. The staff is lovely and very attentive! 24/7 reception! Air conditioning is rare in the neighborhood for a **! Close to everything in downtown Paris!
