We were very pleased with the Royal Garden. The staff were friendly and spoke English. They arranged our taxi on our departure day. Our room was amazing due to the balcony with a view of the Eiffel Tower (Rm 611). There is construction next door, but we didn't hear it at any time of the day. There is a coffee maker in the room, but the coffee in the lobby is good too. We asked for an extra (encore) sheet for the bed, as there was only a duvet and it was no problem. The bed was comfy with lots of pillows. No USB ports, so bring a converter to charge your devices.
It's a 10 min walk to the Arc de Triumph, where there is also a metro station that connects to several lines. There are restaurants nearby, and a 24 hr laundromat.

My family and I visited Paris in July 2026 and stayed at the Hotel Royal Garden Champs-Élysées. Based on the photos and descriptions on the hotel's website, we expected a true 4-star experience. Unfortunately, the hotel fell short of those expectations. I would generously rate this hotel 2 stars, and that's only because of its excellent location.
From the moment we arrived, the service was disappointing. We received only a minimal greeting at check-in, and throughout our stay the staff rarely acknowledged us as we entered or exited the hotel. At a property advertising itself as 4-star, I would expect at least a friendly greeting and a more welcoming atmosphere.
Another immediate concern was an unusual odor throughout parts of the hotel, almost as if construction or renovation work was taking place. It did not create a pleasant first impression.
The suite we booked was also a letdown. The furnishings were dated, worn, and clearly in need of replacement. Rather than feeling luxurious, the room felt tired and overdue for renovation.
The lobby featured a large bar area that was consistently empty during our stay. The website also advertises complimentary snacks from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., but we never saw any snacks available during those hours.
Perhaps the most disappointing experience involved the advertised concierge service. I needed to locate a handheld clothing steamer and asked a front desk employee for assistance. Instead of helping or making a few calls on my behalf, she simply told me to contact local hardware stores myself—even though it was obvious I didn't speak French. This was not the level of service I would expect from a hotel claiming to offer concierge assistance.
Overall, this hotel did not live up to the expectations created by its website or its advertised 4-star rating. While the location is excellent, the lack of hospitality, dated accommodations, and disappointing service made this a stay I would not repeat. I would not recommend the Royal Garden Champs-Élysées to anyone visiting Paris.
