Waldorf Trocadero

This was the worst of the five hotels we stayed at during our 18 day trip and was one of the most expensive. The rooms are super tiny and room cleaners are horrible and barely clean anything. The room is modern but super tiny where you can’t move. The pillows are horrible. Not sure how this got such high star ratings but never again !!

The hotel is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers plenty of facilities: a spa, swimming pool, and gym, perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. The room was medium-sized, with a huge and extremely comfortable bed, and a truly beautiful bathroom. I also really appreciated the thoughtful in-room details: bathrobe and slippers, a coffee corner with a coffee machine and kettle, a hairdryer, and especially the clothes steamer, which was super useful! I was assigned a room on the first floor: not my preferred option, as I often had to keep the curtains closed to avoid people looking in, but overall it did not affect my stay. The included breakfast was very generous and enjoyable. Perhaps I would have appreciated a few more options for guests with gluten or lactose intolerance, but with fruit, muesli, bread, and jam, you can still have a good breakfast. The only small things I missed, compared with other hotels (even non-4-star ones) were a wardrobe, a larger desk to work at, and a toothbrush and toothpaste kit. Aside from this, the stay was very pleasant, and I would gladly return!

Very nice little boutique hotel with fantastic breakfast and a small, cozy spa. Pretty small rooms, especially the standard room, but they were purposeful and nicely decorated. Good location with close proximity to both attractions and restaurants. We can warmly recommend the Thai tavern Little Bambou located across the street from the hotel - they had very good Thai/Indonesian food. A surprise!
