Chicag' Hostel Toulon

Nice hostel in the center of Toulon. The staff is nice, helpful and pleasant! It has space, and a place to eat. Internet connection is great. It is close to all sights. Breakfast is good (French style).

We were here during the off-season so we had plenty of base in our dormitory. Due to hostelworld it was supposed to be dorm for 10 persons but it seems like they have added extra bed and now it's for 12 persons. So during the high season it could be quite full. They also wanted 25 euros deposit for the keys otherwise you won't be able to go and come when ever you want. Otherwise our stay was pretty nice and we didn't face any problems during our stay the staff was nice!

I really, really enjoyed staying at Chicag' Hostel. My Mom was visiting me in France while I was on a solo biking trip, and this was one of our stops— it was a highlight of our trip. From walking in and hearing great old music, and seeing the staff baking cupcakes, to the wonderful kitchen with vintage dishes, and the bunk beds with old chairs made into a staircase, this hostel is one of my favorites. The reception area had an old piano, the coffee from the cafe was wonderful, and the two nights we were there the hostel had salsa dancing one night and a band playing the other. This place is definitely one of my favorite hostels— I'd love to come back and spend more time here.
