Hotel de la Fossette

This could be charming. Pretty decor, a bit rococo. 4 minutes to the beach is appreciated. And the beach is magnificent. But! Arrival before 8 p.m. For a 4-star hotel, not even a reception at night. On the day of arrival, they call you, they text you, they text you again even though you had warned them that you were arriving before 8 p.m. Nice welcome but no help with the suitcases; going down to the -1 level loaded down is not very great. Breakfast on Sunday only starting at 8:30 a.m.! I was leaving at 8:20 a.m. and they tell me that breakfast will finally be ready for 7:30 a.m. Nice in itself but not very pleasant all the same. Pastries good, varied breakfast and sea view. You can have breakfast on the beach but the menu is worrying (not a buffet). Oh yes and then the Carrefour tea bags for a 4-star hotel, how should I put it... that really doesn't cut it. Some surprising stains on the ceiling that would be easy to clean, a broken lamp crudely repaired with tape that doesn't turn on... Clearly missing a parking lot too, on Saturday everyone comes to the beach and you have to park far away... Not sure about coming back!

Experience had during a weekend trip for 3, two adults and a young child. As soon as we entered a suite-type room, we immediately noted significant shortcomings in terms of hygiene and equipment: suspicious marks in the toilet bowl, no soap at the sink, and the presence of sand on the bedroom floor as well as in the travel crib. It was the hygiene issues that prompted us to contact the hotel staff. They first claimed that it was not sand and that it came from the poor condition of the floor. They also pointed out to us that despite sweeping, "impurities" would persist. Following this, we requested that our room be cleaned again. After returning to the room, we noted the persistent presence of sand on the floor as well as under the bed, in the bathroom, and in the baby crib (see photograph of my feet after a few steps in the room). We therefore explained that it would be impossible for us to stay under these conditions, because having a young child, it is necessary for her to be able to move around in a clean environment. Following this, we were again offered to have the vacuum and mop run over it again, while being told that the result was unlikely to change because it came from the floor. I gave them an out by asking them to propose a solution, such as another room with a different floor. However, the hotel is fully booked. We therefore agreed on a reservation cancellation and a full refund, which was done. I will not dwell on the decor, which is a bit rococo, the communication on social media, which is scandalous, or the lack of air conditioning in the lounge area, which are not worthy of a 4-star hotel. What justifies my review and our clear dissatisfaction is the lack of hygiene, which MUST BE a prerequisite for any tourism establishment. This review is intended to be as objective as possible. Mediocre value for money; I do not recommend this establishment.

The manager and her father only want to please. You can feel that their goal is above all that we have slept well, that we are well settled, and that we lack nothing. They find solutions to each of our requests. Thank you for taking care of us. Otherwise, the room is spacious and well-equipped. Impeccable bedding. Immediate proximity to the beach, which is very beautiful.
