When choosing Pierre et Vacances for a stay, one generally expects simple and straightforward services. This was also the case for our two-week stay at the residence l’Anse de Pramousquier. The very big positive point was the exemplary welcome from the two people at the residence who always kindly answered our questions and were very accommodating with us. They also provide many board games to borrow in case of bad weather. Thank you, ladies, for enhancing our stay.
Regarding the residence, we fell in love with the garden, which is very well arranged with an abundance of plants and trees and is especially well maintained (kudos to the maintenance team). The small waterfall and little river delighted us. Direct access to the beach is a big plus. The outdoor spaces also include a volleyball court, a petanque court, sun loungers for sunbathing, and a mini playground. A small downside is the absence of a swimming pool in the residence. There is only a small wading pool for children, which I find somewhat difficult to see the utility of, except perhaps in summer. But here in May, no one seemed to have used it during the stay. Another downside is the lack of a bike storage area and the impossibility of leaving our bikes in the residence (the president of the homeowners' association is riding around, lol). However, the reception staff were able to find us a satisfactory solution for our stay, so thank you, ladies. Finally, another point that may prove problematic for older individuals carrying luggage is the absence of an elevator and the presence of many stairs. Fortunately, we are still young and athletic, lol. The residence offers a few parking spaces for free. A covered parking lot with more capacity is available, but I find the rate a bit excessive (around €100 for two weeks). However, we did not need it as we were always able to park in the free spaces inside the residence or in the few spaces available directly on the street. This would have posed a problem in summer, in my opinion, with a higher influx.
At the level of the apartment, it has been renovated, but only the floors, fabrics, and paints. The frames are in great need of replacement as they are permeable to air. We also noticed that the dishwasher was not functioning perfectly, particularly the tablet compartment that does not open during washing (so we put the tablet in the cutlery basket) and the lower dish basket that is unstable. The faucets in the bathrooms are also temperamental, with a temperature that is quite fluctuating during use. One goes from cold to very hot in an instant, which can be quite confusing at times. Despite these mentioned points, the apartment is overall comfortable and spacious. There is plenty of storage space available, and the view from our accommodation was really very nice. We can enjoy it from 2 terraces. Regarding the bedding, the beds are comfortable (firm support), but we still struggle to understand why in France, we always find beds of 190 x 140 in accommodations. It is very small for two people, both in width and length. Beds of 160 x 200 would be much more suitable. The wifi network is present in the accommodation, but the speed is quite limited, which led us to primarily use our 5G connection (which I shared with my laptop). The accommodation is normally for six people, but as always, two of the beds are actually sofa beds. If we were to use them, it would take up all the space in the living room, which would be very impractical and uncomfortable. For me, it is therefore more of an accommodation for 4 people. But we had planned ahead by selecting a place with a separate bed for our daughter.
As for the location of the residence, it is very well situated along a beautiful beach, and the beach bar offers a bread purchasing service, which is convenient. However, we did not use it as we went to get our bread by car 1.5 km from the residence (since we appreciated the bread we bought). Regarding the region, there are not many visits to make (Saint-Tropez, Gassin, Bormes les Mimosas), but there is enough to do for a whole week, especially with very beautiful walks along the coast (Giens, Porquerolles) and many beaches (urban or wild) to discover. We enjoyed it well, particularly by practicing snorkeling. A bus stop is located right in front of the residence, which is convenient for getting to Saint Tropez, in particular. However, be aware that the number of seats inside is limited, so it may happen that the bus is already full when passing by the residence.
Finally, I find that the value for money is quite reasonable, but some aspects could be improved to enhance the experience, particularly by improving the WiFi connection, reducing parking fees, addressing a few problematic points in the accommodation, and providing larger beds. The region is enchanting with a sky blue that is different from ours and the scent of the south that floats everywhere in the air.
