Mercure St Raphael Valescure

Very disappointed. During our stay at Cap Esterel we used a "table d'exception" Wonderbox gift voucher given to me for my 45th birthday and chose the Domaine de l'Esterel which seemed very good with its Esterel menu and we even added €20 to have the appetizer in addition to the main course/dessert/aperitif. Unfortunately, when booking by email, it was never indicated to us that on Fridays in August it was a buffet plancha. Between overcooked chicken, barely cooked salmon or beef... side dishes uninteresting.... even the bread was very hard. In short, we do not recommend it and will certainly not return! The only good thing was the wine we had as an extra. What a disappointment!!!! Absolutely nothing exceptional!

So I STRONGLY advise against this hotel. We were on the ground floor and the housekeeper left the large sliding glass door open all day, and after our excursion we returned at 10:30 PM and we found the sliding glass door wide open. We had left in the morning at 8:00 AM. Money disappeared and a slap. We reported it that same evening, and the next morning when we woke up, my son and I went to see the manager. The manager turned us away and told us that if we weren't happy, we should go file a complaint with the police 😡 truly no respect and no gesture and no apology on his part. Many guests during our stay complained about this hotel: it's shameful 😡😡😡 furthermore, do not come with your children to this hotel because the inside of the pool is all rotten with mold, and around the pool my son hurt his foot because what surrounds the pool are bricks where there are lots of holes and broken bricks. Furthermore, they put the pool robot in the middle of the pool in the morning, which didn't even work. For 5 mornings I saw it; it didn't move. Attached are photos and video that I took. Very dirty and dangerous. And a big Oscar for the manager and the front desk; it's better that you don't have any problems during your stay because they really just blow you off. Even for 1-day festivals, don't go there..

Mixed experience. The hotel is nice, beautiful pool, very good breakfast. The rooms are pleasant. However, the team is not very friendly. You have to pay 25 euros per person to use the pool on the day of check-out (first time I've seen that).
