Very disappointing review – we left Cap Estérel after only one night We were extremely disappointed by our stay at Pierre & Vacances Cap Estérel, to the point of leaving the village after only one night. Upon our arrival, we were confronted with a site that we found overcrowded and insufficiently maintained. The pools particularly shocked us: the water seemed cloudy to us and the general cleanliness clearly left something to be desired. Several facilities are also in poor condition: torn restaurant chairs, loose tiles, vegetation and grass growing between the joints… The whole thing gives an impression of lack of maintenance and neglect, which is hardly acceptable given the price charged. We also discovered that the various services on site, apart from the accommodation, seem to operate independently: restaurants, services around the pools, etc. This makes the experience even more frustrating when you encounter a problem, because it becomes difficult to know who is actually responsible and who to turn to. Faced with this situation, we decided to leave the very next day. An alternative solution was finally offered to us, but with an extra charge at our expense and to the detriment of a night already paid for. We believe it is particularly unfair to have to bear the financial consequences of a stay that we had to cut short due to our deep dissatisfaction. The most regrettable thing is that to this day, we have not received any real feedback or satisfactory follow-up from Pierre & Vacances. We find this lack of consideration shameful and scandalous, given the situation and the amounts involved. We are therefore extremely disappointed with this experience and we absolutely do not recommend this establishment. We had come to enjoy a relaxing and pleasant vacation; we finally left after only one night, with the feeling of having been abandoned in a situation that, in our opinion, was unacceptable.

The resort benefits from an ideal location and features large and very pleasant aquatic complexes, which are clearly one of its main assets. On the other hand, we were very disappointed by the condition and the level of comfort of the apartments. The accommodation is really small, aging, and would need a serious renovation. We also encountered numerous malfunctions during our stay: a dishwasher that had to be replaced, a clogged sink, a lack of hot water for two days, not to mention air conditioning that performed poorly. Beyond the apartment, the outdoor areas also give an impression of gradual deterioration: aging walkways, damaged furniture and equipment, notably the concrete ping-pong tables, and more generally a visible lack of maintenance and renovation. It is a shame because the site has very beautiful potential, thanks to its location and its aquatic infrastructure. But considering the standard expected of a Pierre & Vacances resort and the prices charged, a major renovation of the apartments and common areas seems essential to us today. As it stands, there is a real gap between the quality of the site and that of the accommodation offered.
