Clarion Cloitre Saint Louis Hotel

We spent one night in Avignon at this beautiful hotel during our trip. The location is truly unique. It is an old monastery. The hotel is located in a quiet side street, near the train station. The city center with the Palace of the Popes is easily accessible on foot. The staff was very nice and attentive. Gaétan made a special effort. He told us a lot about Avignon and gave us good tips. We had a superior room with a view of the garden, which had a balcony, was very clean, and was very spacious. The room had carpet and the shower was located in the bathtub, which we did not find entirely up to date for 4 stars. By and large, we can recommend this accommodation and would come back ourselves.

We only stayed one night at the hotel but loved the place. We were lucky to have a superb room in the old part of the hotel, which is very beautiful, and well situated. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed the food in the restaurant. We found the waitress rather offhand, and the decor in the restaurant not at all cosy or romantic - but to be fair, there was a storm and had we been able to sit outside, we might have felt very differently. Likewise, I didn't get a chance to use the pool, because we didn't have time due to a late train and bad weather, so in other circumstances, I might have given this hotel a 5.

hotel in a very beautiful place steeped in history, our room was large and spacious but in an advanced state of wear
