Hotel De L'Horloge

Very well situated in the center of Avignon, a 10 minute walk from the train station, at a leisurely pace. The staff was attentive, professional and very helpful when I needed suggestions for dining etc. The room was spacious and clean, with all of the amenities one would need. They were kind enough to provide an iron and board upon request. The only negative aspects of staying here were that I could hear the clock tower late Into the night. The configuration of the hotel is a bit odd with little steps scattered throughout the floor plan in the hallways which made negotiating a suitcase a little difficult for this "senior" guest . There is a lift, but be aware you might have to manage these steps to access your room. Warm pastries were available in the lobby each day. I was able to leave my baggage before check in due to my arrival. Overall I would absolutely recommend this hotel and I would love to stay again after renovation is completed next September (2026)

Nice location in the city center. The hotel is clean, the staff very friendly, the breakfast very good, both savory and sweet. We had a small room with a very small shower on the 4th floor and a bed of 140!!!
