I will not comment on the hotel, which is undoubtedly pleasant. Which is absolutely not the case for its manager, who has absolutely no sense of customer relations and completely lacks empathy. Her values regarding nature are commendable; it is a pity that her human values do not live up to the former.

The ideal location, the room, the pool, the friendliness of the staff, the establishment's environmental policy: everything would have been perfect if it hadn't been for the heat... (31° during the entire stay). The hotel is not air-conditioned, like 90% of establishments in Gérardmer, by the way. Which was not a problem until now. But unfortunately with climate change and increasingly frequent heat waves, this is becoming bothersome. Failing to install air conditioning in the hotel (not very eco-friendly), I suggest installing ceiling fans in the rooms, which could be a good compromise. That won't stop us from coming back next year with a good fan if needed! I recommend this hotel. We did not try the breakfast.

Well-located hotel near the lake and pedestrian street with many restaurants. Room poorly equipped for summer: no air conditioning, a carafe and 2 plastic cups but no water or fountain available except for a vending machine for cold drinks at €2 that only accepts coins on the ground floor. Bedding is okay Breakfast with mostly local products (except for canned fruit salad: eggs are extra!) A small fan nonetheless to try to sleep with the current heat waves. Small pool and a few lounge chairs This information is for future travelers, but apparently not for the owners who never comment on customer reviews (are they interested???) Short stay is fine
