Very nice hotel, in Bora Bora, the bungalows are well-equipped, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer... The beach is well-equipped, sun loungers, shower, a spot for snorkeling is located in front of the beach. The hotel is close to shops, restaurants, and it provides all the equipment for snorkeling. Car rental is close to the hotel.

We had booked a room with an ocean view and were immensely surprised to be upgraded to a bungalow on stilts… what a wonderful gift upon our arrival!
A huge thank you to Guilia for her warm welcome, kindness, and great professionalism. She greatly contributed to making our stay even more enjoyable.
The recently renovated stilt house is magnificent and offers great comfort with quality services. The most incredible part remains the direct access to the lagoon: crystal-clear water with incredible colors, so beautiful that it feels like swimming in a natural pool.
Even though our stay lasted only two nights, we keep a wonderful memory of it. A magical place

On our French Polynesia trip we arrived from Taha’a by boat to Raiatea and then by plane to Bora Bora.
By boat we went through the turquoise lagoon to the main town of Vaitape, from where we were transported by a typical local tourist bus to Hotel Maitai Polynesia.
The reception was warm and the accommodations could be quickly moved into.
The staff was always very friendly and accommodating.
The resort is surrounded by a tropical garden. There are «Overwater» bungalows and beach cottages, as well as apartments.
We had an apartment on a hillside with a great view of the multifaceted shades of blue of the lagoon and sunrise.
Unfortunately, the WiFi only worked in the lobby and the beach restaurant, but not in the apartments.
The main house is separated by the busy and noisy coastal road.
In our time, various garden maintenance and renovation works with noise emissions were also carried out.
The beach between the garden bungalows is small and there are unfortunately only a few sunbeds with shade areas.
However, the entrance is gentle and there are some coral sticks with colorful fish for snorkeling.
But the public postcard beach «Matira Beach» is reachable in a 10-minute walk, where surprisingly few tourists come.
The breakfast buffet is plentiful and everyone finds something ugly.
Dinner can be enjoyed in the barbecue restaurant (buffet) or in the beach restaurant (à la carte).
There is also the possibility to dine in restaurants within walking distance, for example Lucky-House.
Furthermore, there is also a small shopping market.
The main town of Vaitape with shops and restaurants can be reached in about 15 minutes by car.
We had rented a scooter in the nearby AVIS shop and circled the island.
We noticed some resorts that were no longer maintained, but built new hotels for it.
We had enjoyed the stay despite some South Seas swaps very much.
After 4 days our journey continued by ship and plane to our original starting point in Papeete/Tahiti.
