How can you do so in such a remote place? Amazing! Just the transportation from the airport to the hotel is already an astonishment! The place has a spectacular view. Flawless, attentive, helpful and efficient care. The included tours were fantastic. They proposed the exchange of one of the excursions and it was an incredible day of visiting the part of the island. Room typically Polynesian, comfortable and with a great balcony. Excellent restaurant.

The accommodation is very comfortable and pleasant, especially for the Marquesas, but still a bit "just" for the Relais & Châteaux label. It’s a shame about the half-board requirement, which offers just choice A one evening, and choice B the next evening, and again A, and so on. There were few things we liked in choice A, and more in choice B. Aside from that, nothing to say, the staff is very friendly, and the welcome is also accompanied by the sound of the tam-tam. The transfer to and from the airport (!! a good hour's drive) is organized by the hotel. The driver who took us back should be told to learn how to drive in the mountains. One does not descend a pass using the brakes; one uses engine braking. Upon arrival, the vehicle smelled burnt. I almost asked him to take the wheel myself.

To be honest, it could have been 4 stars but i will get to that. First and foremost, it is a magical island, not to be missed if you do not feel like only relaxing at white beaches and snorkel or dive. The culture here is palpable and it is a great asset to any trip to Polynesia. The rooms are great and just remodelled. The excursions on offer are amazing and a special shout out to our guide Milton who made it even more memorable. Pierre also is an amazing guide! The four stars would be because of the lack of ideas when it comes to food. We had some good and bad days regarding that and if anything then that would really be a thing that has room for improvement. Having said that we had an amazing stay and highly recommend!
