Post-cruise stay for a night. Check-in seemed to take ages. The gardens and views are fantastic. The room was just an average hotel room with a functional bathroom. Dining was a bit hit-and-miss quality-wise and VERY expensive price-wise.
I would not recommend this as holiday destination accommodation. OK for a night.

Very nice hotel to settle into upon arrival. The staff is truly lovely, smiling, attentive, and very professional. The hotel is very well located, not far from Papeete or Punaauia while being quiet. The gardens and pools are breathtaking. The only disappointment is that we stayed there during the renovation of the main pool. We were not informed of this work at the time of booking. We expressed our dissatisfaction and were upgraded to a room as compensation. We were also able to enjoy the very beautiful pool near the lotus.
Magnificent room with a view of Moorea and away from construction work to avoid any inconveniences. A lovely catch-up that we greatly appreciated, even though I hope to stay there again, and without construction this time!!

There are things to like and not like about this resort. The good: The grounds are beautiful (the pools were recently redone). Day, the concierge, is amazing and should be given a raise and a promotion. She saved us on this trip. The turtle eco center is amazing. There are plenty of water refills. The snorkel center took us on an amazing snorkel to see tons of sea turtles! If you’re planning to rent a car definitely go through the concierge and rent through blue pacific. They bring the car to the hotel and handle all the paperwork. It was so easy. There’s also a room to shower and change if you have a late night flight. The bad: the property is under construction — the pool bar and fine dining restaurant are closed so there is only one main restaurant open and two bars with menus. The rooms are outdated (some are being renovated now). We didn’t feel the resort was overcrowded but that’s with a building of rooms closed to construction currently. It seems a lot of locals come and the resort offers day passes since it’s close to the airport. I couldn’t imagine staying here if it was truly full — there would not be enough pool chairs for everyone. Getting to Papeete for dinner is nearly impossible because traffic is so bad and taxis are $20-35 each way and the hotel shuttle only goes during the day. The Moorea view room isn’t worth it — it’s not a great view but worth an ocean view room. Overall, an OK place for a few days on your way to somewhere else.
