My second time in Gambia. This was definitely a better place. First the positives. The food here at all the restaurants is good. The breakfast could be a bit better with more variety each day, but the lunch and dinner options are fantastic! The ambiance of the whole compound is amazing. The grounds are nicely landscaped and there are multiple pools. The beach is very pretty and clean. But, the place shows the wear and tear. Aspects of the room need attention as they are getting old and worn. The pool, while clean, showed its wear. No gym was available. The office does have a small store with sundries, snacks, beer and wine and soda and it is reasonable. There is an ATM on the hotel grounds. Credit cards are accepted easily. And outside craft vendors are not on the hotel hassling you. I would recommend the hotel but manage your expectations.

This a beautiful hotel and for the two weeks over Easter we had it almost ourselves. Large spacious rooms with a nice terrace. Occasionally visited by the friendly monkeys! The sea doesnt sound safe but the pools were quiet so we stayed around those when sunbathing and no racing for the sunbeds. The food in the evenings was excellent and reasonable, particulalry the Thai, though the beach bar food was disappointing. It may be more expensive than others but made our holiday that bit more special.

Great hotel with lovely staff. The staff really made the stay feel welcome and at home. Ousman AKinteh the beach wait staff was very attentive and always made sure we had plenty of drinks
