Hotel Am Friedrichsbad

Very disappointing. Hotel charged us more than the amount we had agreed on booking.com. (Reason: Marked as 1 person and yet we asked for twin beds and gave two names in correspondence well beforehand, and the hotel had responded OK.) We called Booking.com on the spot re the dispute, and they rang the hotel immediately to sort it out - this was good and we thanked them for that - but the Hotel reception put the phone down on them as Booking.com did not speak German. If we had cancelled we would have had to pay a fee, so we had to pay the additional charge. We were extremely unhappy at being taken advantage of, given the administrative error made no actual difference to the hotel. Hence would not recommend. We also remain unhappy that Booking.com were unable to rectify the situation, when they clearly wanted to.

Nice hotel in a central location, is a bit old, room was ok simply furnished, extremely soft beds. The restaurant is probably permanently closed. Price-performance is right though. Recommended for short breaks or city visits.

We really liked it. My dog was welcome, everything easily accessible. Room absolutely quiet. 6 to 8 April We will definitely come back. Breakfast good, you are asked which or how you want the eggs. Courteous and nice boss. Greetings from Ndby
