This is one of those cases where even a low price can in no way justify the condition and quality of the service provided. We checked in in the afternoon, paid for our stay, and then left the hotel due to already scheduled appointments. We returned late in the evening and discovered that the bed was in an absolutely unacceptable hygienic condition: There was hair and dirt on the bed linens. Overall, the room did not give the impression that it had been properly cleaned and prepared for new guests. We immediately documented the condition with photos. Unfortunately, the reception was already closed at that time, so we could not contact an employee on-site immediately. After our departure, we officially contacted the hotel and requested appropriate compensation. However, no constructive solution was offered. Instead, among other things, the price of the room was cited in effect. The price of a room can never be a justification for a deficient hygienic condition. However, the subsequent communication was particularly disappointing. I was contacted exclusively via WhatsApp by a person named Ilya Reichel, who introduced himself as a co-owner of the property. Since this was a financial matter, I requested that his role and authorization to represent be confirmed via an official contact for the property. Instead, there was pressure for a phone call. I declined a verbal discussion regarding a financial claim and requested transparent communication in writing and via an official contact channel. It was particularly unsettling that messages already sent by him were subsequently deleted. Fortunately, I had completely backed up the communication beforehand. This behavior also raises significant questions for me regarding transparency and professionalism. Added to this is another point that I take particularly seriously: Already during a previous booking of this property, I had concerns regarding the security of my personal data. After the booking in question had been canceled, I repeatedly received suspicious messages with links and content that gave the impression of possible fraudulent contact attempts. I informed the hotel about this. The response was essentially limited to stating that personal data would be stored securely. However, no concrete investigation or comprehensible explanation regarding my concerns was provided. I am expressly not claiming that the hotel was demonstrably the source of these messages. However, the temporal and factual connection was reason enough for me to explicitly address the topic with the property. Precisely for this reason, I would have expected a serious and transparent response. I will, if necessary, pursue this matter further through the responsible data protection authorities in Germany and have them examine whether the company's handling of personal data complies with the applicable data protection requirements. I travel very frequently and have experience with hotels of very different categories. I am fully aware that a budget hotel does not have to be luxurious. Clean bed linen, basic hygiene, and professional handling of complaints are, however, not a luxury and not a question of hotel category. What disappoints me most by now is not even just the original condition of the room, but the entire way in which a guest was treated who raised a specific problem and subsequently demanded an appropriate solution. My conclusion: I cannot recommend this property. In my experience, anyone who values cleanliness, transparent communication, professional customer service, and responsible handling of personal data should choose a different accommodation in Baden-Baden. I have fully documented the photos of the room's condition, the corresponding receipts, and the communication with the property. This review is therefore not based on a spontaneous emotion, but on a concrete stay and the actual events that followed.

We spent 2 days on New Year's Eve in the hotel. Specifically, we wanted to, we took flight on New Year's Eve night, as our neighbors made such a noise all night (both nights) that we couldn't get an eye. Complaints are rather bad because there is no one on site in the hotel. The reception is located in the Hotel Laterne. The hotel itself is rather old, and uncomfortable, but for 1 to 2 nights it goes only because of the location in the village center. We had breakfast, which is reasonably okay. Only the young woman who cares there without desire, she makes no secret of it, to take care of breakfast is somehow out of place. No, that was nothing, and it won't be.

After traveling all day, I drove to the hotel, ready to relax for the evening. I looked ahead for a hotel offering parking. I arrived to find there was not any parking at this hotel. I pulled over by the front door to find it locked, with a sign saying you have to check in at a different hotel. I drove around trying to get to the other hotel, but you can’t actually drive to it, so I parked down the street and walked. Arriving at the door of that hotel, it too was locked with a note saying to check in at the adjoining restaurant. Finally checked in, I asked about the parking and was given directions to the garage that is “only a 4 minute walk from the hotel”. So I went back to the hotel, unloaded my bags, and drove to the garage. The room was sufficient, but nothing noteworthy and not worth all the hassle. For the included breakfast and to check out, you have to go back to the restaurant at the other hotel. So, you either pay twice to park your car, or take your luggage to the garage, then go the opposite direction to go check out. It definitely wasn’t worth all the hassle.
