Hotel Rebenhof

We were left speechless by both the hotel and its staff, the comfort of the spacious rooms, their cleanliness, the gastronomy, and above all the kindness of all the staff. A paradise of tranquility.

After 2 nights in France this was our first ever stay in Germany and we were delighted to arrive at the Hotel Rebenhof. Our room was superb with a super comfy bed, a great bathroom with an excellent shower and a proper hairdryer. The first night our 3 course dinner was excellent, huge portions so we declined desert as we were full. Couldn't fault breakfast which was generous and very good. Second night dinner was a disaster . We had a booking for 7 pm and 3 hours later we left the restaurant. Admittedly we had a five course dinner included in our package but service was so slow and the food wasn't anywhere near as good as the night before. If we had been the only guests waiting we would have concluded that it was something we had done to upset the staff but everyone in the restaurant was waiting an extraordinary amount of time. I assume there was a problem in the kitchen. There is no signage for the hotel when you arrive from Eisental so we missed it completely, once we turned around and headed back we spotted the hotel on the right. We can't fault the staff who were extremely patient with us as our German is non existent (sorry!). We would have rated this hotel as excellent other than the dinner service on the second night.

Beautiful geographical location. Nice wellness space, spacious room with a beautiful bathroom. Bedding too soft and furniture less new than it appears. Staff not very smiling. Too expensive compared to the service...
