Ringhotel Goldener Knopf

Village is unexpectedly beautiful hotel little faded glory. Room nice but on arrival there was just a bed missing in our family room. Bed came eventually turned out to be a folding chair so that our children were actually on the floor. Result two nagging and tired adolescents a day later. Breakfast moderately little choice. In short for 1 night okay but I wouldn't do it any longer.

We were on foot on Via Rhenana and unfortunately only stayed one night in the hotel. We had already checked in and paid online before. Everything worked out perfectly. From the room we had a wonderful view of the Rhine. We did not have a ballon, was also not necessary as there is a large terrace for chilling just for guests. Coffee is available for free. The room was very large, very nice and clean, super comfortable bed and very quiet. The location of the hotel is very central. There is in the same house an inn with terrace and views of the Rhine had closed that day but. All around, however, there is a large selection of other restaurants. The town is very pretty and certainly a great starting point to explore the region. Our dwarf poodle Bella also liked it well even she was received kindly. We would definitely come back!

The location is great with Rhine views, the hotel itself unfortunately disappointing. The rooms are spacious, but clean is only done on request and even then only halfway. Apart from the fact that it was very dusty, in my room a large spider lived with me, and not only since yesterday when I go according to the number of spider webs in the room, I unfortunately also found hair from the previous guest in the bathroom and in bed, or completely from the cleaning lady, anyway, quite disgusting. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, the selection of cold meats is very limited, scrambled eggs are only available for a floppy €5,50 extra (possibly they should rename the hotel into golden egg) and the O-juice is diluted to such an extent that it has nothing to do with O-juice anymore (funfact: during my stay probably also accidentally with sparkling water, so you look stupid first if you don’t expect that) All in all, I think I should keep coffee fellows completely over coffee and leave the hotel business to the professionals.
