Hotel Crystal

Tried to make a reservation over the phone. I was asked to email my request and provide the usual info, (name, address, telephone number, and dates of my visit) along with my credit card information. I explained that for security reasons I couldn’t provide my credit card info in an email and gave all the required data over the phone. It was accepted. I followed up the phone call with an E-Mail (as requested) with the same information, minus the credit card data. My room was now booked. I woke up to a text the next morning informing me my reservation was canceled because they couldn’t contact me via my email address. The room was given to someone else, and the hotel was now full. The text was sent at almost midnight at 23:56. At 15:06 in the afternoon, a second text was sent again stating they had to cancel my reservation. No reason was given. I understand that e-mail is not 100% reliable. But they could’ve (and should have) called me the next day to verify my e-mail ‭address. This was totally unreliable service. I will not contact this hotel again, ever. After booking my accommodations elsewhere over the phone and using the same e-mail address, the next hotel had no trouble e-mailing my confirmation. Based on my experience, I’d recommend avoiding this hotel.

We were visiting an exhibition at the exhibition halls next to the airport and wanted a hotel close by. The airport hotels were very expensive because of the exhibition so we found this hotel on the internet. It is about a 7 - 8 minute taxi ride and good value, although the rates were much higher than normal becasue of the exhibition. My room was basic but comfortable and the bathroom was a little dated but large and clean. There was a balcony in the room which was connected to the room next door (where my colleague was). The staff were very nice, really helpful and friendly. We requested information about restaurant options and received information that was very helpful. We ate in a lovely cosy pub that had candles on the tables and served great food and wine. It was a 10 minute walk along the main street. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next evenings. The buffet breakfast was also very nice. We would definitely stay here again next time.

I have stayed here twice and really like this hotel. Its a cosy small hotel with really nice staff and fair rooms. The rooms are not modern but not old fashioned, they are really clean and look nice. The breakfast is really good. I will stay here again!
