Best Western Hotel am Muenster

Could be a lovely hotel but the bedroom is like a sauna! It’s too hot with no ventilation nor air conditioning whatsoever. You could have the balcony door open, but it’s too noisy from the restaurant next door. We did not sleep much at all. Only good thing about it, the breakfast was good and the young lady in charge was excellent. We will not be returning.

The bathroom is a bit cramped if you are built fuller; service, dinner and breakfast upscale; single room with balcony not mint but I didn't mind. The public areas are tasteful and beautiful though. Very nice and generous the wellness area (saunas, steam bath, infrorot, swimming pool; for a few days wellness with hiking, cycling, excursions in the Black Forest, Kaiserstuhl, Alsace more relaxing than a plane trip abroad. I was happy to come back every night and enjoy the hotel.

Our stay over the Christmas holidays was very nice, the value for money fit for this time. The hotel is located on the historic Münsterberg mountain and offers a beautiful view of the Rhine. However, the room facilities are quite outdated, the bathroom (and especially the shower) is small and cramped. The restaurant area is very nicely designed, the breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. The 3-course (or 5-course Christmas Eve) dinner menu was very good, the staff very friendly and helpful.
