Guesthouse Teuchelwald

Hotel Teuchelwald is located not far from the centre of Freudenstadt and offers a quiet location with beautiful views, especially in winter when there is snow. A personal house, not too big, nice rooms, ideal for a weekend. Friendly staff, good breakfast and parking is free. To the pool and sauna you walk through a park to a treatment center, in the evening it was totally relaxing here. For guests looking for peace and quiet and want to switch off a good choice, even at a fair price.

We were traveling as a group and received a "welcome drink" and some information from the management personally. The service was always very friendly, despite staff shortages. And the food as well as the buffets very delicious and varied, especially breakfast. The location is ideal for excursions as well as to the nearby park and rose garden, where roses still bloomed in September. And the rooms are cozy and equipped with everything you need. A big thank you and very happy again!

This is a special kind of four-star hotel: it belongs to the Association of Christian Hotels - and you can feel it: the third sentence at reception already points out that this is a Christian hotel, so much so that the guest almost feels guilty for not having read the Bible beforehand or not planning to attend the daily morning prayer in the next room. The few TV channels on the TV include two religious channels. WiFi: perfect. As a guest who had already booked several times, we would have been happy with a little gift, but apparently this was not known at all. The predominantly older clientele is also very quiet and reserved, I did not detect any cheerful happiness anywhere. There is no bar, but a beautiful terrace with a view. Dinner and breakfast are perfect, fresh and varied. Service: OK. A plus point is the use of the wonderful swimming pool and the fitness studio in the nearby rehabilitation clinic.
