Hotel Landhaus Hohenrodt

The hotel is fine. Food is great, service is attentive. A bit dusty, but absolutely fitting for the price category. Ideal for beautiful hikes in the Black Forest. The wellness area is excellent for relaxation.

If you want to do wellness, this is the wrong place! The positive first: the rooms are small but modern and clean. Unfortunately, that was also the case with the positive aspects. On our wellness weekend we unfortunately had several things to complain about. • In the wellness area there are not enough loungers for hotel guests. On the day of arrival we had to share a sunbed in the spa area with three. On request, it was explained that 30% of the hotel guests had loungers, which was probably standard. • Buffet dinner was merely lukewarm throughout, even when food was freshly brought from the kitchen. The labelling of the food was insufficient, especially as regards the reference to vegetarian food. • For the multi-course menu, the appetizer did not meet the taste of several guests. However, no alternative was offered despite the indication on the completed menu selection. After asking the waiter, the cook came out of the kitchen and asked extremely rudely why an alternative should be directed. If one had not actively asked for an alternative, a gear would have been omitted without alternative. • The dishes on the multi-course menu were also cold when served. The vegetarian alternative (puff pastry filled with spinach) was out of proportion to the other food (roast beef, salmon) in terms of quality, price, effort and creativity. For dessert, a fruit plate was served with the partially dried fruit left over from the breakfast buffet. • The tablecloth has not been changed for 3 days. Friday's spot was still there on Sunday. In the evening, the crumbs of breakfast were still on the table. • When complaining to the boss, there was no accommodation whatsoever, only excuses.

Actually nice wellness area but very dingy and dirty. Even the stairs downstairs are so dirty. Locker room hasn't been cleaned in ages. So bad ....ceiling in the steam room is with mold. Outdoor sauna is heated at 2 pm and 2 hours pass until the warmth is reached. Noon a noise level, with wellness has nothing to do with it.
