Pension Garni Talblick

wonderful, old-school guesthouse - in the best possible sense. It has a warm, genuine family atmosphere that is increasingly hard to find these days. The owner is incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive, and really makes you feel at home. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious - fresh, generous and a perfect start to a day exploring the Black Forest. And then there is the terrace. The views over Baiersbronn and the surrounding hills are simply stunning. Sitting there in the evening with a cold beer, enjoying the view and the peace and quiet, was one of our favourite parts of the stay. If you appreciate charming, traditional, family-run places rather than modern, impersonal hotels, Talblick is a great choice.

The stay was unpleasant for me for several reasons.

In advance: We felt comfortable and would book here again! Yes, the house is not the newest, and a new tenant or owner cannot turn it into a wellness temple in six months. But if the warm and dedicated nature of the operators is more important than a modern Mood, you should be able to feel comfortable here. Oh yes, the view: There is hardly a better one in Baiersbronn!
