Hotel Halm Konstanz

For the second time at Hotel Halm with a Labrador vacation dog (guide dog). Since we were traveling by public transport, an ideal location opposite the train station and yet in the middle of the city and a stone's throw from the lake. Warm welcome at the reception. Helpful and competent. Nice and clean rooms. Dog bed, bowl, and food already in the room - the dog is happy about that - especially a "gluttonous Lab". Tried Restaurant Ignaz for a small meal - good quality - perfect service. All in all, highly recommended. We will certainly come back again!

As already noted in previous reviews, everything at the Halm is right, from the service to the breakfast. But the parking situation has deteriorated significantly: Now you pay 30 euros per night in the nearby parking garage! A more friendly, customer-oriented agreement with the parking garage operator should definitely be sought again here.

The building and lobby themselves are great with charm. The rooms are in urgent need of modernization!!! Bathroom grout is yellow, the shower spray tears your skin off if you turn it up a little too much. All in all, a strange style. Standard rooms are not air-conditioned and at 90 degrees it is unbearable! Upgrade with air conditioning for 20 euros. What was great was the breakfast. But nothing more than that. I will not come back.
