Gasthaus Maien

No parking on arrival when we had asked for this. Our room was not ready yet but we did get a drink to compensate. It was very hot but unfortunately nothing could open because nowhere no mosquitoes and no mosquitoes. Would have been more pleasant with a screen window. You could refresh yourself. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dinner was very expensive! Our children had to have an adult meal... The breakfast we found a little less.

Room with a terrace, but at over 30 degrees, it was not comfortable even with the terrace door open and a fan (very loud). Dinner on the balcony (small with four tables) was good, prices were steep. Beautiful panorama, unfortunately no elevator to the second floor, very small bathroom.

As a repeat guest, since we were very satisfied with the hotel and room 14 last year, we have already booked this specific room number 14 again for our needed overnight stay in January 2026, which was also confirmed. Then we arrive on 05/24/2026, and the booked room is no longer available and has been given to other guests; this is absolutely outrageous. The offered alternative room in the attic, which is smaller and then with a 16-year-old senior dog who can hardly go up stairs, is a nightmare, and in the heat, without air conditioning, it is absolutely unmanageable; the fan does not help at all. Since the hotel in the last year 2025 not only had a pretty good revenue from our overnight stay but also from drinks and food, we are even more upset. After 600 km, one looks forward to the hotel, the booked room, and the food and drinks, and then something like this happens. More than it seems, there was probably a booking error on your part; nothing came. We booked directly through the hotel via email, not through a booking platform. We will never, ever come back; this is how you can scare away guests. So folks, if you book here, despite confirmation, you cannot rely on the booked room being available, so my well-intentioned advice is to stay away.
