City Hotel Mannheim

The worst hotel you can stay in!! I got my laptop Mac pro and my passport robbed from inside the room and kicked out the next day because I called the police!! Please stay away from this hotel as they will treat you in the wprst way you can ever imagine. The Owner was furious about the whole situation and took it all on me, the staff was afraid and didnot want to help or even give me a key. Nothing is worth staying even for one night.

This hotel is located in an old building in central Mannheim five minutes walk to the main railway station. We needed to get to the station early in the morning, and this was the perfect location. Clean rooms, with old style doors handles and with an interior door for privacy. Very small elevator, but convenient. The included breakfast buffet was very good and plentiful. Bathroom too small with sink the size of a serving plate, and shower with long waiting times to get warm! But I would go back again for convenience and the location in the center of the city. Very reasonably priced.

I did book this hotel, since there was a congress and most hotels were either booked up or too expensive. It did turn out to be a good deal. The hotel has also a next door building around the corner, in which I got my room on the 4th floor. Located on the street side and still very quiet, since this isn't a major road. The room is really spacious and was clean, the bathroom was good too. There was even a kitchenette, but no tools to do any own cooking in case you want to. Just next door is a supermarket, an indian restaurant and lots of other choices in walking distance. Wifi is free and ok speed. The TV program is good too. The bed was comfortable, did get a good sleep. The hotel also offers a garage parking for 10euro, which might be good when staying weekdays. but for a weekend stay, there are few parking places free after 2pm on Saturdays, sundays are free parking on the roadside. The hotel is a good choice.
