The company found and paid for this hotel, we stayed there 5 nights in November 2017. Good for last-minute visits or for those with little money. The hotel is situated at around 15 minutes from the train station - this can be nice, because you have to walk through Korntal and see the place. But it's not that nice to walk 15 minutes in the chilling German rain. Good points: the room was clean, the bathroom had an actual bath tub, breakfast had diverse food. There's a sort of a living room where one can stay and read all sorts of magazines in German and English. There's a Penny store across the street. Not so good points: old furniture, cracking noises, the atmosphere is not that warm and cozy. Late at evening seemed more like a haunted house :) My coleague's room was not heated for 2 days, despite his remarks to the staff. There is no elevator, one has to take the stairs - not so good when traveling with heavy luggage. Neutral: staff attitude varied, they weren't good with English, but we could understand each other. The lady in the morning would smile a lot. Also, the entire place looks like a big house with many rooms, and the rooms did not seem all alike. Perhaps for a family with kids might be an interesting experience - there's plenty to explore for kids, if they don't get scared by the atmosphere.

In this industrial village (town according to information guides), this unattractive hotel houses people from all walks of life. The only reason one might want to get here is to save money and get to know the strange looking waitress who makes all kinds of noise while serving you breakfast. Even if you really need to economize, the hotel might not be your top choice as it is far away from the main station and there is only one line connecting to Stuttgart. On the brighter side, there is a discount supermarket and bakery right in from of it and some charming restaurants in this god-forgotten village. To top it off, the receptionist is kind and speaks English and French. The room we were staying in was not bad, but the pillows were airy so not comfortable for us.
