Conference hotel with good cuisine.

First of all, I find it a shame that after explicitly asking for a quiet room, not next to the elevator, I received a room that borders directly on the elevator shaft. The lady at check-in was very helpful and even said: on the 9th. floor, not that many guests go, so it would be quiet. When asking for a room change, it was suddenly said that there was nothing else free on the 9th, only next to the elevator, so there are many guests on that floor after all🤷‍♂️ The room furnishings are showing their age, and the very loud air conditioning does drown out the elevator, but it cannot significantly lower the temperature. Last but not least, I ask myself why the caretaker drives his gasoline-powered cleaning machine loudly back and forth in the beer garden in front of the hotel at 7 p.m. in the evening, even though the guests want to enjoy the evening in peace; that could surely be done in the morning when the terrace is empty, very annoying and incomprehensible, people are eating their dinner here in the exhaust fumes of the sweeper, is that necessary?? I am no longer convinced by this hotel and will stay somewhere else next time.

A very good hotel, a good base for the Black Forest area
