Hotel & Restaurant Waldschloss

We have arrived in the middle of the night, 1:00 a.m., having been delayed and too tired to reach our original destination. The road here from Passau even in the dark was kind of magical, lined by mature trees. The staff and owners were amazing in accommodating us. Waking up to birdsong, high ceilings, large windows. Beautifully kept building, kind staff. We will return.

We just wanted to go out for dinner and were completely ignored by the staff in the sparsely staffed beer garden. We sat for about 20 minutes, had been seen, the one waiter then went into the break with a full plate, after which no one felt responsible for us. No menu, no drinks, nothing. We then left unfinished business. Very disappointing, never again!

We felt very comfortable there. The rooms were large and nicely decorated. The service was good and there was a very good breakfast with homemade bread and cake. A good service and a nice beer garden completed our stay. We can highly recommend the hotel!
