Hotel Altenburgblick

Past glory! Old rooms. Don't get your hopes up. In need of a major renovation. Too expensive for what you get. Without breakfast on November 29, 2024. Euro 160,- for 2 nights. Anyway, pretty close to downtown. About 15/20 minutes walk.

The hotel is ideal for visiting the beautiful city of Bamberg. Walking distance from the old town and very quiet. The rooms are large and well equipped, my bathroom was spacious but had a bathtub with shower and quite high edge. The room had a large double bed, enough space for clothes and a flat screen TV. Parking is plentiful. The service is very friendly - hassle-free check-in even in the evening via a key safe. A breakfast offer would reinforce the positive impression. The coffee machine in the entrance area takes some comfort from that.

The hotel is showing its age, but is clean and tidy. The room and bathroom are well equipped as you would expect from a 3-star hotel, but the shower curtain is a hassle. Unfortunately, the hotel does not serve breakfast. Parking is sufficient, but very tight. Would happily stay again for a short stay.
