The booking and parking reservation worked excellently. When we arrived we rolled our suitcases over a stair ramp to the entrance. But it was locked. About 50 meters away there was a new entrance with stuffing. We grew our suitcases up to the reception. There was just discussion about lost keys until we were welcomed. After checking in we had to carry our suitcases again to the elevator. Accessibility is different. We had booked a comfort room, which was very spacious (30sqm) with neat functional furniture and good beds. The bathroom was OK. At breakfast the bread rolls were the best. Bread selection poor. Tea selection good. Coffee unfortunately only from thermoses. The cheese platter had been looted and was only refilled when we were done. We weren't thrilled. For one night this is fine but a longer stay we cannot recommend.

My stay at the Best Western Blankenburg Hotel in Coburg was excellent. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always making me feel welcome and well cared for throughout my stay. The breakfast was another highlight — fresh, varied, and beautifully presented, offering a perfect start to the day. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and in a great location, making it easy to explore Coburg. Overall, the combination of warm hospitality, great service, and a delicious breakfast made this a truly enjoyable experience. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to others visiting Coburg.

The hotel is within walking distance of the old town and is below the Veste. Outside the front door is a bus stop and in 3 minutes you are in the old town. Parking is available in front of the hotel. Very friendly reception, courteous staff. The hotel itself has been renovated. The room and bathroom were appealing, large and clean. We had a terrace that was in the courtyard. Unfortunately not barrier-free, steps at the entrance area and to the rooms on the ground floor.....
