BEST WESTERN HOTEL OBERMUEHLE

My opinion will go somewhat against the grain of the previous reviews. Positive points: Large room with terrace and A/C Board with lunch included, mention for the homemade ice creams Well located in Garmisch Partenkirchen Shuttle available with access to different sites (thanks to the 3 friendly drivers) 2 swimming pools and hot tubs Wellness area 1 with textiles and one without Alpine spa reserved for adults Good quality massages Mini golf and game room Negative points Hotel across 3 buildings connected by underground corridors. A real maze! A majority of the staff only speaks English, so communication is limited Meal good but nothing more. Gastronomic presentation but the taste is not there The cheese buffet is certainly very well stocked, but many cheeses are dried out because they were cut in advance. This hotel seems ideal to us if you have children because it has many adapted facilities. However, avoid it if you are looking for quiet because, while there is a spa area dedicated to adults, the restaurant is noisy.

Obermuhle is located on the Loisach River close to Garmisch’s Marianplatz. The property has a nine hole mini-golf course, ping pong tables, as well as inside game room and small playground. The restaurant serves three meals per day. The adults only spa is wonderful, with an outdoor infinity pool. We booked an Alpine Soa suite with our own sauna and a view of the Alpsitze and Waxenstein range. Underground parking is convenient. Overall, our stay was very relaxing. High points include housekeeping, the spa, and lunch. The BBQ night was a treat as well. Breakfast could get crowded at the buffet and the dinner service was a little uneven. I’d certainly stay at the Obermuhle again, but would look for more at the start and end of the day.

Great hotel for relaxing and enjoying. The wellness area is very good, with a beautiful infinity pool. Food of excellent quality with a huge cheese buffet. At breakfast, there is also pretty much everything. Staff super attentive. I was very satisfied and would love to come back. It is confusing that many employees do not speak German. And - my room had no air conditioning - with these temperatures, the provided fan doesn't help much either. Clear recommendation.
