Very shady company and hotel. Made a mistake on my booking (Through Agoda which you should avoid too!) and double booked for the exact same day because of the travel agency service. Within 5 minutes I tried to cancel and they wouldn't accept it and denied the refund. Horrible business and experience. On top of that, the personnel at the hotel were very rude and short and not welcoming at all. Simply asking for water was responded with distain. The beds are also like bricks and the pillows are super flat, even with two pillows it did nothing. Woke up with severe neck pain.

We spent a few days as a couple at the HYPERION Hotel Garmisch – Partenkirchen and were there overall with mixed feelings. Positively surprised us definitely the room: modern, clean and really nicely decorated. We especially liked the location on the ground floor with a great view of the mountains – that was definitely a highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, there was a larger construction site right in front of the hotel where the entire road was torn up. Of course, this was not ideal, but probably only a temporary situation and therefore not a long-term criticism for us. The breakfast was much more disappointing. At first glance, the offer seems extensive, but it could not convince us in terms of taste – especially the salmon was really not delicious. In addition, the seating furniture in the breakfast area was heavily worn and partly already shredded at the edges, which did not make a good impression. The spa and pool area also seemed to be clearly ageing overall. Tiles and seals were visibly worn out, which unfortunately did not make the area particularly inviting. Overall, you get the impression that the hotel was eventually taken over by Hyperion and the rooms in particular have been modernized, while the public areas such as the entrance area, restaurant and spa lag behind significantly. Conclusion: Nice room with great views, but there is definitely room for improvement at breakfast and common areas.

We stayed here for one night in March 2026. I wish we could have stayed longer as this was the nicest hotel during our Germany and Austria trip. The rooms are fine, nothing extravagant but nothing negative to note either. The breakfast was great. It had a great variety of food. A small but important detail is that we did not notice any plastic anywhere in terms of the food platter or utensils. Quite the opposite feeling of a national chain in America. We didn't use the pool or sauna but it looked very nice. We walked from the Hauptbahnhof to the hotel which was about a 10-15 minute walk. A cab would have been smarter but we cheaped out. The hotel is located just a 5 minute walk from the charming downtown. I want to go back.
