Golf Resort Achental GmbH

Very nice, spacious grounds, beautiful room, and a roomy bathroom with a perfect shower. We enjoyed the stay very much. A small tip, a small table on the balcony or terrace would be nice.

The stay was good in that respect. The food in all restaurants was very good in terms of taste. What bothered us this time was the large number of dogs. In our opinion, dogs have no place in dining establishments and their terraces, where they are given water bowls by the service staff, who then continue to serve other tables without cleaning their hands. Furthermore, it is more than unhygienic when dogs are walked on the so-called sunbathing lawn and by the pool and do their business there. The guest walks barefoot to the pool and back! Further comments: 1. In the morning at the entrance to breakfast, it is advertised that the lake hut is open. But there you are turned away with the remark that I need the seats for the golfers! Either the hut is open to all guests of the Achental or it is only to be used by golfers! 2. The so-called smoking area/lounge at the entrance to the Kampenwand building is extremely inconvenient here. For one thing, the smoke drifts into the adjacent rooms, and for another, the conversation early in the morning or late at night is disturbing (volume). 3. The balcony furniture is no longer modern or age-appropriate.

Basically we were very satisfied with our stay, however there were limitations. Even as a soccer and Eintracht fan, I found it annoying that people were walking around everywhere and constantly just in T-shirts, shorts, and flip-flops. I think you should not promise peace, relaxation with luxury and charge for it, but then deliver a stadium atmosphere. The same applies to the service from the staff. Of course people make mistakes or forget things, but here too, for high-end prices we also expect high-end performance in all areas. I have been a guest at your establishment for many years, but for the first time I had the feeling that price and performance do not (anymore) quite match. We also had a clogged drain in the shower for two days. Although we were promised prompt repairs several times in a friendly manner, why they did not take place remained a mystery. In the end, there was only a friendly "We are sorry," but nothing else. From previous stays in Grassau, I know of other solutions for such cases. We will certainly return nonetheless, although with a certain reservation regarding the ratio of price to performance to atmosphere & style.
