Nice hotel outside Munich. Easy from the motorway, and with several shopping options in the nearby area. Quick check in and a nice room with a comfortable bed. Restaurant with good food at reasonable prices. To the cozy bar area. Good morning buffet Good parking options.

We have been several times guests at this hotel and so far satisfied. However, the last telephone experience was unacceptable. After an e-mail request and missing feedback I asked by phone. The tone of the reception was clearly unfriendly and annoyed. I was also told I could also book another hotel. During the conversation, I was finally simply hung up, although I still had a question. Such behaviour towards guests is not acceptable to me, which is why I will not book this hotel in the future.

We had been looking forward to 6 nights rest with wellness (26.12-01.01), we needed rest above all! However, our overall rating is only 2-3 stars, which I like to explain. When we arrived on 26.12, my husband had to remove the thick layer of dust under the phone on the bedside table. I wasn't fast enough here, otherwise I would have photographed that too. At the front under the bed lay a cork of a wine bottle and the mirror at the entrance has not been cleaned for some time, see pictures. We didn't say anything at first and waited to see if the next day's cleaning would be improved. We disposed of the cork directly. The next day we found the room, after housekeeping, unchanged with a dirty mirror and my daily lenses from the bathroom trash can were next to my bed, however that went. There was also no replacement roll of toilet paper. We then shared this with the reception to get things fixed. We also had to ask for a remote control for the TV, this was nowhere to be found. Replacements were available at the reception. The tea maker we also did not find in the room as advertised in the hotel description, but had to pick up the kettle first at the reception. Wellness was important to us. The area is open from 3pm -11pm, we were only there at 7pm on the second evening. As other guests also report, although there are several saunas, which are also large, the relaxation room has only 8 loungers, comfortable, but not portable in our view when the hotel is busy. Otherwise, there was a few seats, but if there is room for a total of 25 guests, that is already a lot. When we came to the wellness area we had to go back up to the reception because there was not a single large towel left. The colleague then filled up, however. After the sauna we wanted to drink something, but we couldn't find any clean cups. The dirty cups were already oozing out of the return at the top. Herbal tea was also empty. Another guest already called reception and told them that the cup and herbal tea were empty. After about 10 minutes, the young employee finally arrived from the reception. You could see the enthusiasm written on his face. Instead of bringing new mugs directly, he only took the mugs that stood out on top, even though the whole bucket underneath was full, and the container for the herbal tea. He disappeared, and other guests missed clean cups. Unfortunately, the employee did not return within the next half hour, so we do not know if there was still the opportunity to have a drink that evening. The syrup was also empty. So this important point of recovery was also a disappointment for us. On the third day, the mirror was finally cleaned, although someone was supposed to do this the day before. Now for breakfast and our desire for rest. Hotel full, as other guests report, the breakfast is very good, even the selection when refilled leaves nothing to be desired in principle, but there is a crowd and the staff is not up to the rush. Here I want to emphasize that the service gave everything, but there was just too much going on. Here, the management should probably ensure that the staff has a chance to handle the number of guests and keep more staff available, otherwise that is exactly what happens, trouble without end! We then set the alarm the last two days and were already at breakfast at 8am, so it went with the occupancy, but we wanted to rest and not have to set the alarm on our holiday! Unfortunately, it does not leave with the breakdowns. We had booked a candlelight dinner in advance. It was a 4-course meal for 59€ per person. Because of the 4 stars and the good reviews we have reserved. As an appetizer there was some salad and a delicious buffalo mozarella on top. Then came a simple tomato soup. The main course was beef shoulder, fish or vegetarian. My husband took the meat dish and I necessarily took the spaghetti aglio olio. Mind you, for 59€ the menu. When the spaghetti came, it looked like it was from the microwave, had probably been under the warmer for too long and tasted like it. My husband’s meat was also disappointing, even though the restaurant is known for its meat dishes. As dessert a small tiramisu, which was good, but considering the menu could not tear anything! From our point of view, a candlelight dinner should be something special, everyone may interpret differently, but with the price there is already a certain expectation! On December 30th we left the hotel at half past eleven and came back shortly before 4pm. The employee saw us and followed us to the room. Housekeeping was just about to start with our room. The organizer was very uncomfortable and he said he wanted to make us the room especially nice today, new linen, towels etc. Well, we just wanted to freshen up before dinner in peace, so we only got the towels and toilet paper 😉. That was then also the drop that caused the barrel to overflow. On 31.12. we wanted to relax in the room after a nice walk, our room had already been cleaned at breakfast, because of the blunder of the previous day, since suddenly the room door is opened without knocking. Whether we need water 😳. Less than 20 minutes later, the door was knocked and the door was opened, almost temporally, to see if we needed coffee. Then 10 minutes later again a staff member who immediately stood in the room and asked if we needed anything else. We thankfully declined and the sign please do not disturb attached, then was also peace! But now I want to resolve where the remote control was hidden. Something fell between the beds and when we pulled them apart, a lot of the remote control to earth. When I dropped them off at the reception desk, at the improbably motivated staff member who was supposed to fill the cups in the wellness area, he laughed as I described where remote control could be found again. I pointed out to him that I find laughter inappropriate, because that just shows us how our room was prepared before we arrived. So, these were our experiences at Hotel Erb, once and never again. Management should urgently work on the staff ceiling, because if you as an employee never achieve what is required, something like this comes out of it. If you specify 4 stars, you must also deliver 4 stars, because the guest pays for it!
