Central Germania

We chose Hotel Germania based on price and location, which can't be beat. It's less than 5 minutes by foot from the main train station, and the best price in the area by far. It's clean and has a very nice lobby that serves beer and wine if you ask for it. The rooms are quite small, and the bathroom is so small a large person would have difficulty getting around. My boyfriend and I are not large people and we have to squeeze in and out of the shower the opening is so small. I would compare it to the bathroom on a cruise ship, pedestal sink, toilet and corner shower. Our room has brown shag carpet but it was clean and looks like it's vacuumed every day. There are no amenities in the room other than a complimentary bottle of water. I'm pretty sure they don't have room service. The complimentary breakfast that came with our price was excellent. I would have liked coffee in the room each morning to help me wake up, but we had to go downstairs to the restaurant to get that. It's on a side street, and we wanted to open our window for some cool air, but the street noise prohibited that. Beds were very comfortable, and we slept well, nonetheless. Overall a good experience.

I had a very nice experience at this hotel in March. The staff was always attentive and the breakfast was very good. I would recommend staying at this location if you go to Munich. It might be a but out of the way from the city center, but it is a nice walk from the Haubtbanhof to Marienplatz!

messy sheets on arrival, obviously the room had not been cleaned or hoovered since last customer. never ever go!
