COURTYARD MUNICH CITY CENTER

We checked into the Marriott Courtyard Munich City Center hotel and were assigned a room. There was a lot of construction going on in the vicinity around us. We worked with Mila to help us find a new room. She was excellent, and got the job done quickly. She turned a potentially bad experience into an excellent one. Thank you for your hard work, Mila.!

I stayed here with family in June 2026. The location in relation to the train station is walking distance - about 5-10 minutes depending on how quickly you walk. The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired. There was a lot of construction going on nearby which was noisy and made the sidewalks un-usable. Various people smoking/vaping outside of the hotel at all times and homeless people begging nearby. The inside of the hotel was calm and welcoming. It was a nice haven for travelers who are coming a long distance. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable and what you would expect from a Marriott. It is possible to get a 3rd rollaway bed in most rooms. The breakfast buffet while pricey was excellent. Everything was served from smoked salmon, to pretzels, eggs, champagne on weekends and fresh honeycomb. While pricey, It was a nice start to the day. The gym was in the basement - small but clean with everything you need to maintain your workout. Also a bottle re-filling station. This hotel seemed to be a place where a lot of people were coming and going at all hours. Mainly, a lot of Americans who were arriving from the airport or getting ready to depart. That said the hotel could be noisy at times with closet doors banging and loud talking that could be heard through the walls. Try to request a courtyard room if possible. All-in-all the hotel was a solid Courtyard experience in a bit of a rough neighborhood. Good for a night or two if getting ready to go on a tour or take a train from the Hauptbahnhof. The service was good and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

We enjoyed the restaurant and the lobby was nice but the room was incredibly small, the shower was not very functional, and the bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut. I didn’t feel super safe in the area but it is walkable to many things. We wouldn’t stay again,
