Holiday Inn Munchen Unterhaching

We stayed overnight in this hotel en route to our winter sports destination. It was a very good choice. There is plenty of parking, the hotel room is up to date, the bed is fine (and the pillows too! You could even choose) the shower is fantastic and the breakfast is really quite top! We had a drink in the bar in the evening and that was nice too! The staff is friendly and helpful. We were more than satisfied. Enjoyed it!

Given the relatively cheap prices by Munich standards, I did not expect luxury. The rooms were correspondingly simple to need modernization. A real imposition, however, was the visit to the in-house “restaurant”: There was no menu here, but only a buffet as the only option with food at an upscale canteen level, sometimes only lukewarm, at the proud price of 34 euros per person. Add a bottle of mineral water for over 7 euros... Once and never again.

Pros: • clean and comfortable bed • clean toilet • good heating • good water pressure Cons: • lack of sufficient hooks in toilet to hang clothes • magnifying mirror in toilet in a strange position • lifts have no close button; doors take some time to close automatically
