Hotel Antares

Positive Notes: Recently refurbished rooms, great location. I've heard the breakfast is good. Downside: Unclear cancellation policy. I booked a room and tried to modify the reservation within 24 hours when I learned there was no A/C and Munich was in a heat wave. I was still penalized with an 80% fee for the one night I tried to take off the reservation despite communication with the management more than 72 hours in advance. When I checked in, I asked to be moved to the quiet side of the building - but was advised that the side I was on was cooler. I was also told that it was a "quiet" city and I shouldn't have issues with the windows open. Unfortunately, the bar right below us was showing a World Cup game and it was excessively loud until at least 1am. When I complained, I was offered a voucher. Bottom line: book with care.

I travel often and usually stay at Marriott properties. I decided to stay at Hotel Antares due to its location, close to metro and Marienplatz and authentic feel. It was an amazing stay! Staff was great and the daily breakfast was fresh, delicious with great variety! I will be making Hotel Antares my place to stay in Munich!

Highly recommended. the hotel staff very polite and friendly, always with a smile and willing to make your stay pleasant. Very good breakfast, varied and all of good quality and with a careful presentation. The whole hotel is very clean. The location is also great, and a street without noise, anyway is that the noise is impressive, in Spain we are too loud, in general. The only thing that the room was not very large, there were 4, but especially the bathroom, too small. We were just going to shower and sleep anyway. In short, highly recommended. A pleasant experience.
