We arrived mid-day so it was very busy with tourists, but the parking at the hotel was free and it's centrally located. We were right across the road from the trail up to Marienbrücke and the castle and only a few minutes walk from the trails around Alpsee. Our room didn't have a view of Neuschwanstein, but it was still lovely with lots of space and very comfortable. We were also given a discount card for their souvenir shop and two drink tickets for their restaurant. In our experience, the price was worth the stay for sure.

Absolutely beautiful fairytale hotel, just like the pictures. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and welcoming, we didn’t arrive until midnight but it wasn’t an issue. We stayed in a double room that was spotless, we even had a little turret we could sit in. Breakfast is served in the dining room with views of the castle, hot and cold choices.

Beautiful authentic hotel. Great rooms and free parking at hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Shuttle bus and horse with carriage start near the hotel to travel to the castle
