CityHotel Kempten

The 3-star hotel rises 100 m from the pedestrian city centre and is close to historical sights and shops. The operator is more than friendly. She is even very warm and manages in English but made an effort in French to be pleasant to us. Ease at the Covered Parking P10 of the Forum Allgaü opening almost opposite the establishment. We received an access card for a deposit of 20 € returned at the end of the stay and we paid in advance the two nights of parking, 18 € instead of 30 €. We enter thanks to the card given and we leave on foot through a separate door that our hostess described to us. The room was about 20 m2, had a large king size bed and a TV screen broadcasting TV5 Monde and FR 24 in good quality. The view was enclosed, covering tall buildings. Our accommodation was comfortable and clean. Good bedding. No elevator or air conditioning but a useless fan this day. Very quiet hotel and exceptional breakfast. These include fresh pressed orange juice, high quality smoked ham and ham, smoked salmon, German rolls, a wide range of delicious cheeses, fresh fruit and a choice of dried fruit. The location close to the city center, the parking facilities, the good bed, the extreme smiling friendliness of the operator and the excellent breakfast are worth for us an award of 10/10 as a rating.

We, a cycling group of eleven enthusiastic pedal riders, recently spent four wonderful days in Kempten – choosing the family-run CityHotel Kempten as our base. Already on our arrival we were welcomed by a casual and warm atmosphere: The lovingly decorated foyer with its atmospheric details made us arrive immediately and feel at home. A special thank you goes to Mrs. Hummel, the charming hostess: With her open, warm manner, she was always at our side with advice and deeds. The entire hotel team radiated the same warmth – you can clearly feel here that hospitality is not just a word, but is lived. In the morning we were spoiled by a rich breakfast buffet, the best prerequisite for a successful start to the day. Thanks to Ms. Hummel’s Insider tips, we also tried atmospheric restaurants in the Kempten area, where we could enjoy regional and international delicacies. Conclusion: The CityHotel Kempten has been the ideal choice for us – family hospitality, loving details, a great breakfast and a dedicated team that meets every wish.
