Carat Hotel Apartments

Hotel not great, the guy on reception that checked us in was very helpful, came to sort out AC out, brought me an iron & ironing board. Room was very dated, didn’t seem clean enough, a smell of cigarettes all over. Sanitation practically none existent, only masks. We went late to hazienda restaurant for food, ok nothing exciting. Breakfast horrid, miserable staff, when my husband asked if he could have a clean knife, the waiter took offence n took all his cutlery n paper place mat away & brought him fresh ones, with a very annoyed look on his face. I don’t think they liked that we were sanitizing our table etc, someone should because they didn’t seem to bother. I left my breakfast, there was people getting scrambled eggs out of the warmers with their own cutlery, as no serving spoons. Receptionist told my husband off for parking where he didn’t know he shouldn’t. Definitely Wouldn’t return, needs gutting. 😖

We stayed in this hotel 1 night only (1st August 2020). Very loud apartment on street side and with no aircon. Didn’t sleep all night long. The dark skin girl ( i don’t want to be rude , just no uniform and no name on her , very unprofessional) is the most rude, unfriendly, unwelcoming Receptionist ever. Lazy on giving informations and lazy with her job. Never felt so uncomfortable. As soon as I started to talk with her, I wanted to change hotel. The old man (Reception) is very kind and friendly. Felt like home with him. Good breakfast but no aircon in the whole building. The hotel is located in a very loud - night life - side of Munich. Never again.

The absolute bare minimum of a hotel.  Worst thing is The beds are like bricks and the pillows are so uncomfortable. The rooms are from the 70s. They are not clean. The kitchen is filthy with stains everywhere. There is no AC. But they do try to clean every day, which is good at least. If you need an iron, you need to fill out a form at the reception and carry it to your room. I guess it is basically like a low level hostel. The staff is okay for the most part. Some are pleasant, some are...definitely not haha. The breakfast was okay. The location isn't really in the center but about a 10 min walk, which is still not bad. I would never say the stay there is enjoyable but it's bearable. Their booklet makes it seem like a five star hotel with the best of the best and we all read it to each other out loud because it's hilarious.
